Tale of a Seafaring Sheepdog <(Canto II)
"I've travelled far, I've travelled wide In Kathmandu I took a bride. I've seen the ancient pyramids Cavorted with some Caryatyds And in Mandalay I chose to stray (And now my wife has run away).

I've seen strange things Huge fish, with wings, Swimming horses, where the males Give birth to small ones, all with tails. I've seen toads with toadlets in their backs I've drunk pink milk from hairy yaks. Seen fakir's carpets flying high Their patterns shimmering in the sky.

I've had adventures of such form I thought I'd never see the dawn; I battled once with bold Aegir That's how I came to lose an ear."
