Banshee

Historically a banshee was female, lived somewhere in your house, kept herself well wrapped up, and wailed tunelessly to foretell a death. Like trolls, banshees have had to adapt to the 21st century and through the ages they've managed to find their niche in the music industry. Banshees first started to pop up in bands of the 80's where all that pale make up and black lacy clothing was a blessing in disguise.

Nowadays you are more likely to find them in the boy- and girl- bands of today. Yes, that's right, they've stood up for women's rights and decided that just because they're not boys, it doesn't mean that they can't be in a boy band.

Unfortunately, over all the hundreds of years they've been around, and with emancipation and that, their singing has not improved one jot.  Now they have the audacity to even show their faces - you can spot them quite easily as they are the ones with far too much make up, and far too few clothes.

Next time you listen to the latest 'pop' release, ask yourself, "Is this the latest big thing, or is it the horrifying dirge of the undead?
